Hi everyone,

So Saturday I went and hunted this reservoir built by the railroad in the 1850's to supply water for the trains. I had to wade through a bunch of bottle caps and collected a fair amount of clad and thought I was going to get skunked until I dug this merc dime. After pulling it out of the ground and rubbing enough dirt off of it, I realized it was a 1916 Mercury dime. I got excited then, thinking that it might be worth thousands of dollars I just put it in my pocket and went home to clean it properly. Turns out no mint mark. C'est a la vie, it's still a great collectable coin and was a fun hunt.
