Hi all,
Been hunting the military park for about two months straight before deciding to give it a break and hunt the oldest park in town. In two weeks, its has produced 3 silvers. First was a 1944 merc, then my oldest, a 1852 half dime (shown on another post) then this past Friday, a 1927 merc. Been concentrating around the ball field and old trees, with plenty more to hunt. Happy hunting all, thumbsup01

Hey thanks Tony, Fire Fighter & gridiron. :waving:. I tend to attack them big old trees first, then I try and grid out the rest of the park. You always see some thing that looks inviting just a head of where you're hunting, but got to keep reminder your self, to take your time, and work it all. You'll eventually get there.. good hunting every one. :)

Hey, thanks Dennis. I'm not saying slowing down will always produce but it sure is reassuring to your self, that, that neck of the woods is done, and you can concentrate on new ground. My first day hunting this park was just after starting to detect. I was approached by a guy who later told me that himself and three others has already detected this park hard. He said in a way to get me to leave, well I remembered reading about detecting before I bought mine, and it said, one of the best places to detect, is where some else has found some thing, and I now believe that. So good hunting every one, and just think, all ground is virgin ground, when it's your turn, thumbsup01
