Hi All,
Got permission yesterday to hunt an older farm home built late 1800's. Was told that it's been hunted a bunch, but doesn't hurt my excitement any. So far, only found 2 wheats, a sickel blade, a buckel and this pistol. Thought it was a toy, but felt too heavy. :thinkingabout: So I did the dirty deed and cleaned it with a wire wheel and found out the body is mad of brass and the muzzle is steel. Had an old timer look at it, and he said looks like .22, maybe from the Civil War error. ::huh:: We found HORNET stamped on the top and the number 286 on the bottom side of the hand grip. It meassures only 5 inches across. I looked on google for an hour and couldn't come up with much. Sure could use some help..
Thanks and good hunting all, Eric
