Got our with Gary to a cellar hole.was pounded.I got one button :embarrassed: the other site we located was so grown in it wasn't even huntable.
We then decided to go to a old field and that's where we had our best luck. A copper for him & a copper for me looks like a King George the III and this interesting hallmarked piece of etched silver.no idea at all what it could have been or be used for :confused: hope somebody (elbows Dan) can shed some light on this piece.it's definitely a colonial period hunk of silver. Somebody mentioned it may be a bar link off a old pocket watch chain :thinkingabout:

Dave, nice field hunting and no idea what that piece of silver could have gone to. Again some very nice photos with some nice finds. :congrats:

Nice hunt Dave, You think maybe it was bent before? possibly went around a heel or something to hole the spurs. I don't know just a guess. Good luck finding out. And :congrats:

That looks like an 18th century Bodkin. Great find!!!!!!!

i dont know Brandon.it's 3 inches long.i don't think its heel related or a bodkin. wish Dan would say something >:tongue:
