Hey diggers,

I was driving around looking for places to MD and spied a HUGE oak tree in a vacant lot across the street from an old high school. On a whim I thought I'd check it out to see if the kids may have come across the street to hang out under the tree. My third, fourth, fifth, and sixth signals were all silver! Some of the silvers were only 2 inches deep too! Like shooting fish in a barrel. I can't wait to get back and hit that place some more. Thanks for looking. I uploaded a video to youtube also. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Looks like a great site, Dave! You can tell that a spot has never been detected before if you're finding silver from the 1950s and 60s. Gotta be some silver quarters there too!

A site like that will bump up your silver count mighty quick!

:congrats:

That's a good point Tony. I usually only find maybe one silver from the 50s or 60s with all the rest usually being WW2 or earlier. The merc was 8 inches down and probably not related to all the 2 to 6 inch deep rosies. I have a lot more area to cover as well as going around that tree a couple more times!

Great hunt! There's gotta be more...crossing fingers for you.

When I lived in California, I kept track of the wheat/silver ratio one year. Mine was 50/1.

Not very scientific, but still a lot of fun.
