Hi All,
Met up with a buddy of mine who lives in Rhinebeck,NY .He got permission from a friend of his to hunt a old active homesite. It was a slow day for the most part with a few wheaties mixed in.Then got a signal, dug it up and a aluminum coin comes out of the ground.I just threw it in my pouch thinking it was a childs play money from a game or something. When I got hame and cleaned off the coin it had german writing on it.Looked it up on the internet and it appears to be a 50 pfenning dated 1921.Pretty neat coin and very light in weight .Apparently there are many german decendents in the area. Very interesting coin, I've never seen one like it. Is it made out of aluminum?

Congrats on the find!
