Hey diggers,
I dug this button at a 1910ish house. It is the size of a quarter. The backmark is partially obscured but I can make out ...PORTING and then some little symbols (diamonds, spades, clubs, hearts?). The brahma bull depicted is quite elegant and very detailed. Any ideas on this buttons age or origins? Thanks and HH, Dave.

Dave , the button from a construction point of view appears to be from anywhere 1840's to 1920's as most two piece buttons fall into. it is either a sporting or livery type button in design . without a diffinative backmark name and if i had to place it in a time period i'd say somewhere from 1860's to 1890's but thats just a guess. its a very cool and detailed button |:cheering: |:cheering:
