Hey diggers,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! We got up to about 45 degrees this weekend so I was able to get one more hunt in for the year. I found an older apartment complex that has some pretty big grassy areas and very large pecan trees around the edges. I would guess these apartments were built in the late 1950s. I didn't have a lot of time so I cherry picked the best signals.

I didn't dig any 12-44 signals shallower than 4 inches since these are going to be modern pennies 98% of the time. I managed to find 17 wheat pennies (mostly late 1940s to 1950s). I also dug 47 modern quarters ($11.75 & a new record)! 21 modern dimes and 9 nickels. My best find was a men's sterling ring. It is marked ESPO Sterling. ESPO stands for the Joseph Esposito Jewelry Company. They started using this mark in 1951. This is the second ESPO ring I have found. They are very popular with collectors (Just look on eBay to see how many there are!).

Here's the pics, video is coming. Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.

You have a good eye JT! You're right, it was run over by the train. Luckily there's enough detail left to see it is a wheat penny but the date got squished out. HH, Dave.
