got out with Todd again to some new sites.What a day we both had.wait till ya see what he dug! :shocked04: :omg: :wow:
1st site i hit the 1787 Fugio.my 1st copper of 2013,then he got his dandy find .a few buttons here and there.we then decided to try the 2nd site.nothing but trash there,seems like it was a party spot.found the deer shed antler there.a foot away from a bud light can i got a ring signal. i almost didn't dig it figuring another pull tab.so glad i did! a pretty heavy 10kt gold mens class ring.we finally hit the 3rd site and i got some clad,a wheatie and a 1943-D merc.was a great hunt and was especially happy for Todd.i walked by it 5 feet away from his find,I think he woulda killed me if i had dug that >:tongue:

Was a great day Dave! You were right on the Fugio's obverse but the date is clear at least and the reverse looks good.
As for the ring... wow almost 15 grams, I was thinking 11-12 grams :congrats:

As far as my find, I'm afraid to do anything with it. I only did light tooth brushing with a little soap and water :thinkingabout:

after peroxide :-\ pretty toasted under the crud.oh well....and that's how it goes when you detect cellar holes. like playing a scratch off ticket .sometimes ya win.sometimes ya don't :(
