I decided to remove the dirt crust from the Inaugural button and here are the results. Pics are at 2 different light angles indoors and the third pic is in daylight and more true to the naked eye
If your interested in watching mine and Daves reaction then here is a link to the video I made [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJcTCpA7Ci8]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJcTCpA7Ci:dontknow:/url]

Yes Dan, I counted 63 denticles as well. So it's a scarce variety I assume and not one of the very rare varieties

This is true Midas but all those gold rings pulled from the muck certainly adds up, it's just more work to get them. I would find myself very hard pressed to sell a relic like this. To the day, I have yet to sell a single find of mine the only items I will sell are the gold rings and maybe...just maybe I would sell a GW if I were lucky enough to find another. :crossfingers:

Trust me Rob, If I were not holding the camera recording the dig, I would have been dancing and prancing like a little girl :hysterical: Rob, if you listen to the video closely, you can hear Dave yell while his voice cracks from excitement and he wasn't even the one who found the button rofl

With some guidance from Heavymetalnut(dave) and del(Dan) and my own experience, I soaked it in very hot distilled water for 30mins followed with toothbrush and soap. Then I repeated the process untill I was happy with results
