Howdy Folks!
I went hunting today, and managed about 5 hours in the field. While I didn't find gold today, I am not terribly disappointed with my hunt.
Among other things, I found 3 rings, and 2 of them are silver (925). I also found a Wyoming National Guard challenge coin. You'll also note a $5 Peso Mexican coin found today.

My take today included:
43 Quarters = $10.75
25 Nickels = $1.25
41 Dimes = $4.10
116 Pennies = $1.16
Total = $17.26
Coin Count = 225 coins.

No dollar coins today, no gold either, but I enjoyed a really beautiful day on the Colorado front range.
That being said, I already feel sore and know....
I'm gonna hate myself in the morning!

Here are some photos of my haul today.

225 coins, 4 tokens, three crosses, two silver rings, and an aching back!

Another close up of odd items I uncovered today. Two silver rings at upper right.

The flip side of the WNG challenge coin. It is larger than a Morgan!

The Mexican $5 Peso coin uncovered today.

Thanks for looking. There are tales to tell of this hunt, but that'll need to happen some other day. I think right now, I oughtta go soak in a hot tub and hope it keeps me from seizing up. I already feel the soreness setting in, and I just don't want it setting up on me like concrete.

Blessings,

Howdy Jds!
Well, to be ruthlessly honest, 225 coins is my largest coin haul ever. A personal best, if you will.
Now that I've managed that, I'll try for a 250 coin day eventually, and work my way up to 300 on a hunt.
Since I ain't been detecting much in the last 5 or 6 months, they've accumulated in places I go.
My first top gave up 92 coins all by itself. The next only gave up 11! The next three were better stocked!
The beauty of it is, since the places I hunt draw lots of traffic each and every day, they'll restock again with lost coins and jewelry.

Life is good, and the supply of coins to be found is fairly abundant.
But because of blood thinners I had to take about a year ago or so, I can't handle cold like I did before.
When the weather warms, katy bar the door... I'm gonna come roaring back!

Blessings,
M-Taliesin
