Jess had a committment in the morning so at 12 noon he shot down here.we went lookin for a site near me.we found it but no targets.well he got a pewter spoon handle.jess saw a broken shovel at the site so..him being sherlock holmes and me being watson we came to the conclusion somebody beat us to this spot rofl it sucked cuz this was an early colonial :crying02:
we were driving down the road and at the stop sign i said Jess! wait look :shocked04: a cellar hole i think up there.see the lilly's? so i jumped out and ran up hill.yup there she was! we hunted it for a few hours.he got a bell and a pewter spoon.i got a stir-up,a 1945 merc  and a 1849 braided hair LC.
then we headed over to the old church grounds that i pulled silver 2 weeks ago and we both got IH's mine was 1889 and his was 1880.
not a bad day and good to go on a hunt with jess agin.wish he pulled a big copper :-\
happy hunting everyone!

Not a bad hunt Dave on a crappy day. What is the other coin looking item next to the Merc in the pic after the stirrup pic?

I have had a few of them heart stoppers as well.
I think relic hunting is like a box of Cracker Jacks.............Surprise in every hole.

perhaps Dave , or the grade of copper used is a lower one . all i know is they are either in very very nice shape or in pretty
rough condition
