With the snow finally melting, my back feeling much better...it was time to hit the dirt. There is still snow on the ground so Al and I had to think about where to go...somewhere that has had enough sun to melt the snow AND thaw the ground...we headed to the park..where we pulled over 100 silvers last year. She didn't disappoint. We really have to hunt her now though. It started slow, a couple of wheats here, a silver 1947 roosie there, here's a wheat there's a 1911 barber dime, a few more wheats...just needed that Merc for a trifecta...then up on a hill with kids all over, digging trash purposefully so they get bored and leave...finally they do, then a few momentsw later...BAM...1919 Merc..got my trifecta. <:
As some of you may remember, Al was 1 Buffalo short of hitting his all time high..and this park had been full of them...I pulled around 30 last year...he says while we are out...Watch me pull that Buffalo I needed today.
It was time to head out, I turned my machine off for the walk to the car...Al says...you gotta swing back. I said, yeah your right last time you told me to do that I found an Indian....So I'm 3/4 way back to the car....12/11-12...dig down a bit...1938 Buffalo. Al and I meet up at the trash can to empty our trash...I reach over and put it in his hand ...He politly said.... >:/
