I got a fairly late start to the day hitting a colonial site that I have hammered (15 to 20 visits)

From 15:15 to 5pm... I had one of those play coins bent in 1/2... as I'm 40 feet from my car I got a 3-4 nickel signal...

1908 V Nickel...

I pack it in... Check out a park that is 15 minutes away... This is an older park... wait... what is that... skateboard whatisit... This place has been transformed and packed with people...

hmmm.... ok I can be back at the spot I got the merc, indian, and colonial buckle in... 40 minutes.. vroom.... vroom...

I arrive and have 90 minutes of light left...

Swing swing swing... 10/35 @ 5....

1908 Indian Head Penny

I was pretty sure these IH's were like Lays... but you really can only come home with just one :shocked04:

I got 3 Wheaties... 1917, 1941, and 1944... a Playboy Card thingy... and some clad...

I was tired... but managed a few keepers...

I hope everyone got out !!

Respectfully,

Very nice, Paul! Your streak of Indian Heads contnues! The other day you found a 1909 and this time a 1908, two dates that aren't that common.

Great close-up photos of your finds too! |:cheering:

:congrats:

Both of the old coins are 1908...excellent. :congrats: on all your keepers and does your car really go vroom, vroom?? lol

Very cool finds! That IH is in great shape too

I've only found 3 nickels since I started detecting... I dont know why I never seem to get them.
