KG III in Wisconsin

I know it seems crazy, but my friend found a KG III half penny, 1799, in Wisconsin last year in a farm field. Him and his other buddy went back to the same field this week and found another British copper, likely another half-penny, a War of 1812 artillery button, and two Civil War eagle infantry buttons plus other stuff. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share for you, but it is amazing to me that this field has produced that early of items here in Wisconsin!

I'm curious to see how the Wisconsin soil treats 200 year old coins. ::huh:: :->
But I agree it is amazing to see hear of those kinda relics being found in the mid-west! :daydream:

Maybe someone from Canada wondered down, into your area during that time frame. There were British troops :uk:usaflag:: in the Ohio Valley and even had a fort out there somewhere in the 1700's. Good find anyway I would work that area again.

hey dennis in out conversation you told me and mark you found pleanty of old coins including capped dimes was this in the Midwest or was this in the northeast? <;)
