Found a few pieces yesterday and could use some help on them. First is a frame buckle. It is 2.5s and 1.75s wide. There are no markings on it. It is made of brass and is heavy for it's size. What i would like to know is an approximate age.
Second is the conical shaped iron piece that has a hole through it. The hole was filled with a black tar like substance. It is about 1 long and .75 wide. The third piece in the picture is the head from an old razor, I think.

I'd agree to the last being the head of an old single blade razor shaver. The buckle is going to be next to impossible to get an accurate age but if i had to guess , maybe late 1870's to 90's . The other thing is totally a mystery to me :dontknow:

Del,
Thanks for the reply. The third pircr reminds me of a bottle stopper but I have never seen one made of iron. And, the tar like stuff in the hole, I wonder if it could be grease and this piece may be a grease fitting of some sort?
