coins, maybe this well help someone. Gold coins $1 = 12.11, $21/2 = 12.22, $ 5 = 12.31 , $ 10 = 12.38, $20 = 12.43... All so on the etrac I have seen where the ID part of the the 12 is not all was the 12 when you got a coin. If you have a high tone and the other two no. are what I go by. Like 12.72 go be the 72. Have any of you seen this??

lol Yep John, them gold coins fall right in line with Nickels, pull tabs, screw caps, Memorials, etc... It's even worse on the rings. They can literally read any number, due to the Karat and size factor. I think I know what you mean by the 12.72? It doesn't go that high, but it is the second number that I go by. In other words the Conductive numbers first, and the Ferrous numbers up to about 24 secondly. Those Conductive numbers are pretty reliable. Thanks for the gold coin numbers. I will have to memorize them just in case lightning decides to strike lol I've never found a gold coin, but want one real bad. I hope it's a one dollar gold  Thanks for the list.

The data from Jim in upstate NY has...

US gold 1 dollar: (11-12, 11)
US gold 2.5 dollar: (12, 22)
US gold 5 dollar: (12, 31)
US gold 10 dollar: (12, 38)
US gold 20 dollar: (13, 44) (which I have mistakenly put at 12, 44 in the pic...)

Here's Andy's pattern with the gold coin's TID info superimposed with different colors represesenting the possibilities of where the coins could show up as I see it. This is assuming no target contamination...the only variables would be the ground and target orientation. Of course, you'd have to do a true statistical analysis to get the real picture. I wasn't trying to draw flowers!
