Most of my finds are obvious by picture, but I was wanting to get more info like dates and what not. Also value if anyone knows.

Welcome to the forums here... Can you post a picture of the back of your button... It will tell us as much about the button as the front....

The button (upside down in the pic) appears to be a fouled anchor. Various forms of that design are on Navy Chief Petty Officer's uniforms. Admittedly, that one is rather simple in it's design, but that's probably what it is. Below is a more modern design.

As an old Army guy I've wondered about that anchor symbol before. Good to know.
