Hit a new site with Coinsniffa. Thought it had potential as it was off the beaten path so to speak but someone had got there before we did. Still, I managed a couple of crusty King Georgies, some buttons and a chape.

The old trail near the site is always a great spot to hunt.

I am guessing this is a counterfeit KG II. The edges have been filed and it is extra thick.

Pulled another toasty KG.

Coinsniffa uncovered this nice looking Marbeled salamander.

Found just one deer tick stuck in me when I got home. Not a bad day at all.

congrats on the coppers Jeff the one on the right looks to be a very odd counterfiet though , i can't seem to place it . perhaps it a British counterfiet , i'm not very rehearsed well on their types.

Wow, that is a great hunt, what makes you sense it was hit before? Coinsniffa got skunked? Nice job!

It was the holes, the Dunkin Donuts cup and someone's latex glove that led us to believe the site was hit before lol

Coinsniffa didn't get skunked, he got salamandered  It's not too often I out copper the Sniffmiester. We hit a farm field on the way back to the car and he dug a honking 10K yellow gold high school ring.
