Went to a site of and old burned down hotel around noon yesterday. Place has been pounded through the years. I've never really found much of nothing. lot of pull tabs, bottle caps. This place has seen it's share of parties. Hotel was built in 1908 burnt down around 1956? So I decided to go into the edge of the woods close buy and around a really big oak tree got a faint signal on my atpro at about 8. So I dug down between roots and rocks and saw silver!!! I pulled it out thinking my 3rd barber, but it was a 1887 seated dime. I really never thought it would happen. My first seated anything and broke into the 1800s. Will try and post a pic. Thanks

Congrats Joe, I only have 2 seated pieces and yours is better than my 1875 dime(wizzed) I'd hammer that spot till I was exhausted to see if she has any sisters that look as good.HH this year.....

Don't you just love that heart thumping feeling when you first see that lady sitting down? I only have found one and will never forget the feeling. I was on cloud nine for weeks.

Double bonus points for the hard work in retrieving it.

:congrats: on a great find.
