Three more coppers today making that 12 out of this site. Targets were almost non existent for the 1st couple hours, thinking we must had done a good job at cleaning the site out last week, when Dave called out copper. Then as if Dave had called out to the copper gods... our coils suddenly heated up |)
I got my 1st New Jersey Copper, a Connecticut copper and an early 1700 mystery coin. As you can see in the pics, the coin is smaller than the rest. I believe the date is 1727 :thinkingabout:

You've been doing great my friend thumbsup01 and deserve everything you find. That goes for all the rest of you adventurers :grouphug: that are challenging the elements at this time of year. |)

:congrats: Great finds ! I know the feeling of being at a virgin site and it's the best feeling knowing your the first ones to uncover a bunch of history and a good variety of finds. That cellar hole should keep you busy for awhile . |:cheering:

Nice to find a site that gives up so many coppers. There is a Spanish silver still lurking there somewhere...or maybe early American silver    lol

Thanks everyone, the first pic of all the briars is where the well is. Most of the 12 coppers were found in those briars. I spent most of my time swinging in those thorns and it paid off. :blackeye:

congrats on the coppers the small one does look to be a George the Ist but its a half penny (they are normally a bit smaller than the usual George II and III coins ) and the dump coins (1717 an 1718) are even smaller still. how many coins total now from this spot ?? 10-12?? now your starting to get into the virgin cellar numbers , could be just the tip of the iceberg . my best had almost 60 coins but no silver.

when you an Dave think you got it all George an I will come down an find the rest for you two boys ;) keep at it
