View Full Version : Nice evening hunt yields a first.

Headed out tonight intent on hitting a field that gave up a silver dime and nifty silver girl scout ring a few weeks ago. But upon arrival the entire spot was filled with 3 or 4 lacrosse games. So I headed to a school close by that has given up some good clad numbers in the past, but that's about it. It was a nice night and I was happy just to get out. A few target in I get a deep, kind of iffy signal. I pulled a giant plug and the signal was still in the hole. A bit of poking around revealed my first bell! Pretty cool. It seems pretty old... very out of place for the modern school I was at but it made my night. I kept swinging for an hour or so and pulled a surprising amount of clad - 53 coins total worth $4.48.

Those crotal bells are exciting to find.
I found my first one last year .

Oooh congrats, something new to google- haven't heard of 'crotal' bell. I have yet to find one... I have quite a dog tag collection though rofl

Seriously I do- the oldest is 1943!
