Wow 12 yrs- I remember like it was yesterday.

My husband and I were on vacation w/ friends at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. We watched the news, were numb and cried a lot, even the men... I didn't know anyone personally but felt such empathy for those grieving. It was inspirational how everyone pulled together and helped each other.

I don't think there is a single one of us who doesn't remember exactly what they were doing at that moment. I had a friend who worked in one of the towers and lost his life - he had 4 kids including a new baby.

Live with kindness and service. Peace.

I remember it like it happened yesterday. Was on a road trip vacation, actually, we were looking at some potential places to move to after retirement. I was staying at a Holiday Inn in Chico Ca and saw it on CNN that morning. We were so saddened by it, we returned home.

It was very inspiring to see this nation come together , everyday people who were heros showed the whole world what the best of humanity is and what being an American is all about. Despite this cowardice act of terrorism and national tradgedy I felt so proud of this country i call home.

we don't run from the face of danger , we run to it to when the need arises.
flight 93 was proof of this and Todd Beamer's last words ( Lets Roll ) when they went to over take the plane from the terrorists to avoid other innocent civilians casulties . heros to the last

God Bless the families of the victims and this country I love.
