While it is still to soon to make claims, could American Made Garrett be on it's way back to market stardom riding on it's success of the AT Pro line?

very interesting detector thats for sure , cool how it collapses to 20 inches and is water proof to 10' . my questions is how difficult is it to change coils , at $2500 its falling somewhere between the Minelabs gpx and whites tdi . i'd like to compare it against them two and see how suseptible it is to emi both in country and urban settings.

From what I have read and photos I've seen, it is a versatile military grade machine.
The price point is an issue, but presales in the US are about 2,100 for basic model with bag, headphones, charger, and sling.
They also have a dual coil package that comes with a 2:blackeye:15inch mono coil and a compact hard carry case offered at 2,500.
Judging from the ad's, the coils seem to come complete with shafts so the only connection would be made at the detectors waterproof housing cable compartment.
Very interesting package, guess time will tell.

Caught an episode of Dig Fellas tonight and noticed Bill was using Garrett's new ATX detector.
It would be nice in my opinion, if they took a minute or two from each show too review the equipment and settings used during that episode. :hairpulling:
