I think 2000 BCE is before the iron age...no? :dontknow: ...but I'm no history buff.

A very nice find.
Have you had a chance to have the metal identified and possibly dated.
Museums and larger central library's are a great place to start your research.

Hi yes bc is before iron age this metal was the first ever metal made ever that will give you an idea of its age , they used stone before that hope this helps cheers roger

no not yet it will be going on the first wed of november my m8 is the artefacts expert in cardif museum that is how ive got a good idea of the date cheers roger

i watched a time team once and even with blowers and modern technoligy they couldnt get it right just goes to show
