Hi all
Went to the field across from my house(no joke...100 steps from my front door) Just went out for a quick hunt,20 minutes in I had a 79-80 on the T2.7 inches down out pops a toasty copper.I still have it soaking ,but the bust has shown itself.Gonna hit it again this Sunday.HH Tom[attachimg=1]

I see no detail on the back of the coin, pretty much worn flat.

well Tom after comparing some pictures i'm pretty sure its a George the 1st so that would make the coin from 1717 to about 1727

Nice to have a convenient site. ....that produces 300 yr old coins :shocked03:
What does that field ground balance at? What were you able to run the sense at? George says I only get one question per post but I thought I'd try lol

Hi ox
It balanced at 63 on the t2
I was using the boost mode due to not being able to get close to ground due to high grass.
Sens 65-68
Disc 37
Tones BP
That combo has been workin well so far this fall for me.

:bop: Next time don't use any punctuation and it will be one question lol

Great find. The George I's have a bigger rim on them. That is how I usually tell them from the George III's Glad you can even see a portrait, considering how long it has been in the dirt!!
