Has anyone tried this and did it fix the problem. I replaced my first Propointer because of falsing and now my 2 year old one is starting to false. I found this video and it is worth watching if you are having an issue.

Here is another video with more details on how to take it apart and put it back together. He uses a piece of plastic to cover the circuit board which later in the video he talks about figuring out how to insulate the wires instead. Some other people have just wrapped the wires in question with electrical tape. I have to add that it looks like a delicate procedure and should be done with caution. I would not try this if yours is still under warranty. My other thought is WHY wouldn't Garrett fix this problem :behave: it is such a great product but this has happen to both of mine now and many others. So I'm sure it is not an uncommon thing.

Mine was falsing on occasion until I put a paper towel in the battery compartment and tightened the cap back down. No problems since then!
