View Full Version : Experimental Bullet?
Yes, I know it is a bullet. But I have NEVER seen one like this. I found it near the Springfield Armory, where I have found numerous other old military items. I am wondering if it may be a rare experimental round? :dontknow:
It's a large cal. I'm thinking .58

It's a little different looking then some of the ones we find, but I think it's a deer slug too. Rob it should have a recessed bottom as well.
It just seems much older than that. It was definitely fired, and based on the patina and location as well...I just didn't think it was modern 8/
Thanks for the id
