thanks del....i just cashed in some clad and upgraded a bit of equipment i got a garrett edge digger knife, KNEEPADS which i broke in today...much easier on the knees....several sizes of staple type coin folders...a 10x loupe and the blank ring for my mercury dime. next on my list is a finds pouch...kellyco has a nice one that has ...sorta leaning that way... the regular belt but a thigh strap as well.

don't forget your local lowes or homedepot they have tool belts that work very well as treasure pouches.

I personally choose not to buy anything from Kellyco as they have shown some very unethical business practices.

As far as a tool belt goes I use one of my skeet shooting bags that has 3 compartments. One of them that I put the trash in has a zipper and just empty the trash in the garbage. Something to consider. Also nice find on the knife!

It's amazing how much clad is out there. I just reached 700 dimes and I usually only go 10-15 miles from my house. I don't even beach hunt. I think a guy could hit a huge number of coins if you only focused on clad. Sure helps pay the bills. Nice job and how are the knees as that is a lot of bending. Wisconsin Digger

wisconsin digger.....knees suck!! 58 yrs old 250 lbs and every 3-6 months i get a shot in each knee. the new kneepads helped. i used them yesterday and the expected, usual pain and stiffness isn't so bad. my knees usually determine the length of my hunts. lol getting down to dig is the easy part....

That knife did clean up nicely :thumbsup01: Clad is always good, especially if you get a Susan B ;) If you have a local seamstress in the area, she may be able to make you a custom one. Just another avenue to think about.

Since getting back into the hobby last year I have found to Sagagawea's(probably spelled wrong). I don't do any beach hunting but you would think you would find more as they are relatively small (quarter size). Nice hunt. Wisconsin Digger

Congrats on the finds! I have found one of the presidential dollars but never a Susan B. Anthony. That's a neat find!

I'm still waiting for a Susan B. My friend bends down to dig every item :shocked04:
I use knee pads to kneel down. Nice haul!

Great haul you got there :thumbsup01: that knife turned out really nice !

:congrats:

I'm editing this post cause when I originally posted I couldn't remember exactly when but I dug two of them Susan B's from the same hole in a school yard last December on the 16th. I tried finding the thread here on this forum but couldn't. Here's a captured frame from a video clip I took of the Susan B's right after I found them.

digger don...i usually just use my pants pocket for my finds but yes this day i had to keep redistributing to other pockets, which i guess is a good thing. in the spring i will have a pouch of some sort because of all the trash that i dig thats what takes up all the rom. i may go retrace this hut tomorrow, depending just how bad the weather is
