Written a couple of years ago...but oh so relevant again...sigh!

A Winter View

As I look out the window I see snow a falling
And in the corner my E-Trac is a calling
“Not now my trusty friend”
“We must wait till the snow will end”
The targets are there they will wait
Until the snowy weather does abate
Then once again we search the fields
Recovering all the soil yields
But in my mind I hear its plaintive voice
“Wait I must for I have no choice”
In my heart I know its pain
For I too wish to hunt again
Patience is a virtue some will say
But I can’t wait for the hunting day
When the grass is green and the Sun is bright
And once again we restore to light
Treasures lost now found anew
Presented to all in a grand debut
Winter’s here making spirits glum
But hope is there for the Spring to come.

Yep, it's that sad time of year again:crying02: But there is hope at the end of your poem so all is good :thumbsup01:

Thanks for sharing this again, Tony!

I can definitely identify, as this is the view out our front door right now. I just took this photo two minutes ago:

:notworthy: Very nice, speaking of nice its going to be in the 60's this weekend in RI, hoping the snow melts enough to get in the woods.
