I cant find any info on this button, It looks like a livery to me but not sure if its even from that era. The bust is depicting the god Poseidon and the figure beneath him is a creature from Greek mythology called a hippocamp. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thanks coop3625336254

That's an interesting stamped one-piece button Coop. I don't think I've seen that style of manufacture before. Perhaps Victorian era? HH, Dave.

Coop ,I agree with Dave . Greek and Roman mythology were very popular fashionably during the mid to late Victorian age.

To me that button looks to be earlier then the Livery era. With the type of shank and the design I think would put it earlier. I couldn't find any specific info either, sorry for that, but great find none the less. Safe & HH

I'm the same way on it. I want to say late 1860's /early 1870's, but some of me wants to say 1800's -1820's . I also could not find that button anywhere. It's the back of the button showing the impression that throws me off.
