Hunted the fairgrounds in our county today. It was a muddy sloppy mess but I was able to pull out a little clad and this sterling mechanical pencil. It is only about 4 inches long and the lead must be about 1/8 inch. Not exactly a fine point but it cleaned up ok except for a couple small dents and it works. I think the little ring on the top was for a tassel.

Nice looking piece. What you guessing on age...the 40's /50's? Great that it still works.

What an awesome find. All I ever find is the metal eraser end of a #2 pencil.
Congrats

No guess on the age Coinnut, it is using 5mm lead which seems to go back aways but I can't find a manufactures mark to date it

Congrats on the find, I remember seeing a lot of silver and gold pens when I was younger, but you really don't see them very often these days, Safe & HH
