Hi,

I thought it would be a cool thread if we posted pictures of key date and semi key date coins that we've found. I've only been detecting for a couple years and haven't dug one yet, but I thought it might be inspiring to see that others have.

Thanks

I have a couple of semi-key Indian Heads, 1869 and the second scarcest Indian the 1872 both from same field not the prettiest but clear dates anyway.

All right mister, when did you find an 1877 Indian Head? Or did you "find" it on eBay? :poke:

Hah! You sound jealous! :envious: I found that penny in 1977 when I was 16 years old. I found it in a curb strip stacked with an 1898 V nickel! Even after all these years I bet I could get within 10 feet of the exact spot I found it too!

Rest assured, I am jealous! :envious:

I am also a little crestfallen that you've never told me about it. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb174/dubbl-t/Smilies/sorry_zps6fea6340.gif

I was saving it for the day you find one and then I could say something like "Well, it's about time, I've had one for years now!" :interesting:
