Well I've been trapped for the last month due to all of the snow so I HAD to go out and do some digging today. I hardly ever hit the beaches even being about a mile away from them.

Dug a LOT of fishing weights of all shapes and sizes. I kept a few for when I go out with my boys.

For my efforts I was rewarded with a 1942 Silver, 1942 King George VI 3 Pence and a pretty toasted Memorial.

HH Folks,
Roger

Yea I was lucky with that one. Didn't realize it was silver until I got home. MAN are my feet and ankles killing me from the rocks.

I bet it felt good to get out. Especially finding a little silver. Ive contemplated hitting the beach still up in the air but the snow keeps coming in. Thanks for sharing HH

Easiest way to clean war nickles in my opinion, is to soak it in ammonia for 10 mins max then toothbrush. I like it because its quick easy and doesn't leave that bright shine look that baking soda leaves.

Thanks Guys! Hey quick question for you regular beach hunters. Is it normal to find jellyfish on the beach in the winter. I found 2 yesterday and thought it was weird as I figured them for warm water.

Hey Rebel, I only moved down here to Florida a few months ago and only seen two on the beaches. Now a few weeks ago my wife and I was snorkeling in Key Largo and they were every where. Our capt. said the colder waters brings them in. So for FL I guess it will be normal.
