Just pulled the trigger on a Eurotek. Seems to be a pretty nice machine for the $$. Gonna be my lightweight, speedy coinshooter/backup heater.
I'm pretty stoked. :yahoo:

Let us know how it goes. What detector do you think it compares too in general, low end, mid price or high end?

Well, I've done a ton of research. And it looks like this Eurotek is a serious contender against the Compadre. I will give a full review once I've used it.

Well, I got the Eurotek last night. Put it together and went out to the garage for some bench testing.
This machine is incredibly fast on retune, w0w!
After I checked the VDI numbers on all coins and common junk, I placed a silver dime next to a pulltab... about 1/2" away. This machine rang out on BOTH targets while sweeping and didnt miss a beat!
I am really impressed. Cant wait till the darn snow thaws so I can take her out in the field.

Well Kenny D I have had one for 6 months and it is just getting good. Been hunting a trash infested home place and truly does work well in these types of places. I have found coins tokens and more junk than you could think possible! I use the number to confirm the tones I like, and don't. Still large pieces of aluminum & iron will fool you, but it does on all my other detectors! I'm running volume @9, 00 disc. and vary from 7-10 on sensitivity! I don't care what the nay sayers say its worth more than the cost of it! Enjoy it I'm loving mine.
