Sorry it took a little to post these, but with the V3 in for upgrade I have a little time.

We went to the Tom Weaver Memorial White’s only hunt in mid Ohio a few weeks ago. This was a three day group hunt at an old Boy Scout camp, although we only hunted two days. Had a great time and met some great people.

My finds with the V3 were 15 quarters, 25 dimes , 14 nickels, 74 pennies, some old shotgun shells, a mag light that worked after cleaning, some grommets, and a lot of junk including a 1986 license plate. I also found two wheat’s, and a 1940 Washington quarter, my first silver find. I also hit a tot lot at the campground we stayed in one night for abut 15min. Got 3Q, 1D, and 4P.

The wife with the Pryzm got 5 quarters, 3 dimes, 1 nickel, 41 pennies, some grommets, a slug, fishing sinker, part of a ring, a claw hammer, and a real nice neckerchief slide.

All in all seemed pretty good for as little time as we have in the hobby.

Yay on your first silver! My first quarter (and only ) was a 1949. I'm surprised more people didn't find silver out there with the history and traffic. Of course the ranger has a detector too, I wonder how successful and how many yrs he was at it.

lol Btw, I just responded to you in my thread about wanting to see your finds. And you'd just posted them! So we met at the group hunt right? Are you Frank and Linda?

:dontknow: I didn't get as much socializing done in that weekend either for some reason

Maybe because we were like kids at Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory? lol

Nice bunch of finds. I found one of those flashlights and mine worked too. Mine was from an ATV'er losing it thumbsup01 Congrats on your first silver quarter. Very nice ;). As for the Ranger detecting for years there? I bet he cleaned up on the silver lol :ticked:

Nice finds guys!!
It was nice meeting you both!!
It's nice to see you were able to find a little silver!! (which is more than I can say for myself :crying02:)
The half a ring that Linda found looks pretty shinny. Is it silver too?
That neckerchif slide looks almost brandnew
Congrats

That piece of ring to me looks like crome plated plastic but it is metal, Linda likes to think it's silver, probably will check it someday. :thinkingabout:
Don said that is the best looking slid of that vintage he has seen found.

I hope we can all do it again next year.
