View Full Version : Button Men! I need help on this one!

Any ideas on this button came from a field where I dug CW Infantry button and large CW Eagle button. It is very crusty and a bit fragile I am going to try a bit more cleaning but...I don't want to ruin it. Stars on it makes me think maybe military, we have gotten at least three other Eagle buttons from this field. Let me know what you think. One person told me they thought it might be a cannon on it.

the stars do interest me Tony but its hard to make which way the image is right side up. any pictures of the back of the button and do you see any backmarks ??

Well the back is really gone, yes it is puzzling which way is up or down.

But someone on Facebook I think just got it right I had it sideways. He said it is a CW Patriotic button with a flag waving....look at this picture.

its possible Tony did they post an example picture to compare it to ?? I've looked in some of my books as i thought it may be the same but haven't come up with a match yet .

I agree that it is a flag but I think the cylindrical shaped object is not part of the flag.
