Still fighting the remnants of winter but today was pretty frost free. Went to a Park where I had some silver luck late last year but nothing real old. Today changed that a bit as I found 3 Century coins. My first nice 12-46 signal turned out to be a 1902 Barber Dime. I managed to fins a few old Wheaties in the same area but decided to try a few of the spots I hit last year. I ended up back at the same spot as I was having little luck anywhere else. I got another nice signal around a 12-44 but pretty deep. Hoping it was a deeper silver and indeed it was as I pulled an 1897 Barber dime about 6" down. I was getting ready to call it a day when I got a really weird 7-34 signal that was really solid. I decided to dig and hit a little frost as it was down a bit. When I finally saw the disc I was hoping it was an Indian. It was to crusty to read so I put it away and worked my way back to the car. At home after some cleaning it turned out to be a 1882 Indian I think but the last number is a bit blurred by some crud. All in all it was a great frost free hunt. 30 total coins with 2 silver 1 Indian and 4 wheats including a nice 31 "D" and a 27 "D". Glad to be back swinging. Included 2 silvers from some previous icey hunts. Wisconsin Digger

Congrats on your very successful hunts! :clapping:

Barber Dimes always make for some really fun detecting, especially ones from the 1800s which don't turn up very often.

:congrats:
