Had a rough week of work so I decided to do a Marathon road trip hunt on Saturday. Hit 3 spots in total and had a goal of 5 silver for the day. First park was a follow-up hunt to the park I hit 10 silver at last week. I did a pretty good job apparently as I only found 2 more Rosies and 10 wheats. 2nd park was a park I saw in my Dad's old logs. He found some silver halves and other silver so I thought I would give it a whirl. Most of the time was clad city. I was ready to call it when I got a decent signal and really deep. I dug out a really deep Rosie, moved the coil an inch or two and got the same signal, yep another Rosie. Very weird hunt as I had ALL new clad and 2 Rosies, but as Keith K says I was glad to have them. Wanted to try a park on the way home that looked older but I found very little there two years ago. The Etrac certainly made a difference in the trash as I found 2 Mercs and 13 wheats. 11 hours later (about 8 hours of swinging I had 6 silver and 23 wheats as well as about 8 dollars in clad. Picture also shows a Rosie and Buffalo found earlier in the week. Silvers are not pouring in but still digging a few. Great day all around and Happy Easter to all. Wisconsin Digger

Great haul. You averaged 1 coin every 3 1/2 minutes or so. I'd say that's a great day. :thumbsup01:

I was a bit achy On Sunday, but managed to get out a couple of hours after eating. Never to sore to swing the coil.

I love marathon hunts, except the next day  The silvers will add up quickly 6 at a time. I usually go out detecting to forget about a bad week (or day) of work. It always feels better after swinging a coil!!!
