When out scouting with some friends saturday, and after a slow morning scored some permissions.

The first yard we hit was AMAZING. Between the 3 of us we had a total of 4 silver coins, 2 silver rings and 55 wheats! :shocked04: We hit a lot of good relics too.

My oldest wheats were 1918 and 1919, the oldest that came out was 1910. My old coins are sorted by date (1918-1957) thus the odd order. We didn't hit any clad or silver quarters, which was kind of odd after finding all of this! We beat the yard to death until it didn't beep anymore.

It was just a small yard, and nearly all of the clad was from other locations, 90%+ of the coins/finds out of this yard dated from the 30's to 50's.

The fob is from hires rootbeer and dates to 1915 or prior, and is quite uncommon. :)

As for the token, I can't find anything on it! Anyone seen that one before?

Nicely done JD. Those are the kinds of yards I like! The token and fob are great additions to your collection. HH, Dave.

If you are talking about first token pic, the past few months there have been different shaped tokens similar which are trade tokens for something like a farmers market. The last pic is just like a coke fob for Hires

Congrats on the finds. Just a suggestion about the token, it may have been for a small local store. Check the library for old phone books or info pertaining to past local businesses. Good luck, safe & HH
