So 15 minutes for this 1904 Presidential pocket watch fob........and a few hours for this heart pin ( probably silver) buried with a bunch of glass bottles. I'm new, excited & hooked! I'm finding a lot of foil- and my Ace 250 if all over the place......It's showing coins...then foil, then iron.....then no hits at all.......I'll take any guidance I can get.

Congrats on the nice relics. If you found those in 15 minutes then I would bet there are a lot more relics and old coins there. As for the machine acting the way it is, my gut feeling is that it is interference from power lines or other sources of EKI (like airports, radar, high tension wires, etc...)How high are you running your sensitivity? If reducing it doesn't seem to help, then it's probably EMI. If it never settles down no matter where you hunt, then I would suspect the coil is bad.... By the way did you already check to see if the coil connector was tightened?

The sensitivity is at the recommended factory setting. I'll check the connections and lower the sensitivity as you recommended......I'll see if that works. Thx for the help!

Welcome aboard. My name is Kasey, from Georgia. I am a new detectorist, having started November 2013. Interestingly, I, too, found that same presidential campaign tag (same wording), but slightly different in the actual shape.39068

Yeah- I've seen a bunch online (2 or 3) in your fob shape....but I can'thav find anything online similar to mine. Still- looks like you have one in whole lot better shape than mine! Thx for the warm welcome....take care.
