Hit a new foundation Saturday didn't find much,i started searching the old road coming in,i got a high 90s vid the screen says half dollar,i said no way, dug down about 6 inches out comes a 1936 Washington quarter,i rescanned the hole its still saying half dollar out comes a 1908 o Barber half dollar. So I think I will be going back to finish detecting the rest of the road.

Wow! Two great finds in an awesome spill! :thumbsup02:

The 1936 quarter doesn't have much wear on it at all, so I would guess the spill is from that time period. It shows us that Barber Halves were still circulating at least until the 1930s.

Yeah, I would be detecting the rest of that road.

Beautiful photos!

Great finds. That "36" wash looks great, the feathers on the eagle look to be all there. Barber 1/2's are so sweet, :congrats:and keep searching that road.
