View Full Version : Axe Head Before and After

Up at the old 1930's era sawmill site where I recovered that odd "BB Union Made" button I also found an axe head down about 6-7".

Here's a photo of it when I recovered it and again today after electrolysis and boiling oil. It was a fun project!

Looks a lot better Karl , I have to get off my rear and get at all the iron tools i have collected over the years .

Very good job on it! Now it can be displayed without any further oxidation to it.

Put a handle on it and sharpen that puppy up looks like she might have some life left in her still!

I thought what I might do with it is present it to the 90-something year old guy that told me about the mill and remembers when it was in operation. I'm pretty sure he'd like to have something from the mill.
