Got permission to hunt a house that shows up on an 1867 map. Not exactly sure of the age of the house, but old enough. It did seem that a lot of the huntable area had been disturbed when they put in a pool and added a barn not long ago. I did find a few things to make it worthwhile, but I was really hoping for older coins. Still looking for that bust silver. The house, located in North Salem, NY can be yours in the $1.2m range.

Don, I grew up in Fairfield County and went to school in Danbury. I can only imagine the coins those people dropped over the years. Unfortunately they usually had the means to bring in fill and dig up every inch of ground
I've yet to find a silver spoon. Your spoon is sweet, congrats!

I'm with Drew, still looking for a complete silver spoon. Got 3 bowls but I just can't seem to find the whole one. Oh well...

Yours is a beauty, :congrats:

Drew,
I live in Brewster, NY just over the line from Danbury. I must be collecting silverware as I found another silver spoon last year and earlier this year I found 2 silver forks only a foot apart. My best piece of silver was a silver knee buckle I found c.1770-1790. I love finding old silver coins, but also love buckles, buttons and any old silver.

I haven't found any silver buckles either, thanks for reminding me
Do you use a minelab?
