Got out with Dave Saturday and a very late start on Sunday. Nabbed me two Connecticut's and a King George II. Saturday we spent most of the morning scouting possible new sites and then finally settled in. Turned out to be a great day as I was lucky enough to save 5 coins. Sunday was more of a button day for me. We went back to a spot that has been pounded by us and other dectorist but I really worked the cellar hole lip most of the time pulling out close to 20 buttons from the iron infestation. The last picture has me baffled. Don't know what it could ne but it looks like they tried hammering it into something:dontknow:

Fantastic results for you as always, Todd! :clapping:

You ended up with 6 nice coppers and a ton of buttons! Love the old cufflinks too.

Do you think that flat hammered object is made out of silver?

Tony, it is not silver but probably brass and copper. Actually I found 3 coppers not 6. Thanks. Tony

You guys had a great hunt. I think you would get bored here in Illinois. We don't find anything that old here.
Great bunch of finds

Nice set of finds as always. Is that a piece of original fabric still attached on one of the buttons?

Sweet bunch of finds. that Geo II cleaned up real nice! Thanks George, I actually thought they would clean up better. They looked better out of the ground.
