Went to a school yard that had been a prison farm way back. I figured it would be all pull tabs and bottle caps and I was mostly correct. But I did find some wheaties at a far corner of the field. I followed those to some better targets:

The quarter was my first silver ever. It was a better feeling than I expected to see that glimmer in the bottom of the hole. I found it at about 4 inches. The cap gun was perfect. It's always history to me and I tried to picture a kid running around playing cowboys and Indians until he lost it. The spoon is silver plated I think but it was infesting to find. I didn't post the bit o clad I found or the endless bottle caps that look like a silver coin to my Ace350...

now I have the silver bug!

The first silver being a Quarter is a heck of a way to start , there should be a few silver dimes still hanging around .

Hey, way to go! And your first silver was even a quarter which is awesome! :thumbsup02:

The spoon is definitely plated but it looks old and has a neat design on it.

Congrats on your first silver coin! I'm sure it will be the first of many.

Added number two today. Found it at 9" at the same place I found the old pulley. I'm impressed with the Ace350. It gave intermittent tones, I turned up the sensitivity and it nailed it dead on.

Congratulations of you first 2 silver coins. Now you're hooked for sure. I don't know if there is specific therapy for this. Once you're hooked it's hard to kick, but so much fun. Looks like you did your homework and found a good spot. Way to go!

i was in the zone and didn't even notice it. The funny part was that I scheduled my errands for the day so that I would end up by my spot. The schedule WAS a bit of a failure because it had me digging from 11-1:00, right in the sweaty zone.
