I haven't hunted in a week and a half because my son got married in CA last Sunday. Best wedding ever!! They spared no expense. :shocked02: More importantly we LOVE our new daughter
... but back to business
What, in gawd's name, is this copper? I thought it said 1757 or 1777 ...under the bust!:shocked01:
The other side (not certain which is obv and rev) has delicate markings. I'll clean it more when I figure out what it is.

The rest is the usual stuff. Thanks for looking!

Dan, you are good! Hey, I was going to see if you were free today but I heard through the grapevine that your dance card was already full. Thanks for the ID!

Drew, very nice find on the maravidi. Never saw one before and of course I was waiting for an ID before I responded to your post. You know its unusual to find one of those if Dave (Heavymetalnut) hasn't found one.

:congrats:on your keepers

Huh ..I thought the first patina picture was the coin which made it tough to figure out. There was a pattern around the center of it. But the semi cleaned pic at the end Def looks like the back of the copper pic Dan put. Almost like a fleur de lis. Great find drew.
