found these and they are not magnetic, any ideas what they are?

the quarter is there to show the size of them

They look like melted chunks of aluminum.

Are the pieces heavy for their size? If light, I agree with don in ny. If heavier then maybe lead.

The consensus is aluminum. Not sure where you found them but almost every spot where I have seen a campfire I have found similar. Some of the flaky balls are from foil and the solid ones are from cans. I can't say teenagers, but it's whomever go up there has a fire and they throw those items in the camp fire to dispose of them. Foil from things like sandwiches.....or home made paraphernalia. In other words it looks like only litter.

Nice Fire Pit Finds. I dig these out of my fire pit every spring. the kids love watching cans melt.

If they are heavy then it's more interesting...could be "camp lead" from the making of musket balls. If that's the case go back to that area soon.
