Went out for a bit with my nephew Paul and his brother Bill and my wife Diane did an old house that Paul got permission on. Not a lot of finds but some good ones. Bill got a 1924 wheat, Paul got a Large Cent and a nice flat button, I got an 1890 Indian and Diane got a holed and crusty Large Cent which I believe is an 1838. Always good to get out and make a couple of finds!

Very nice Tony, I wonder why they decide to put the hole where they do sometimes :thinkingabout:That indian is in great shape. Congrats!

Congrats on the finds, Tony! I hate to say it but once again Diane showed you up. ;)

I am envious of the number of large cents you guys find there in Ohio! :envious:

:congrats:

We have found a fair number of Large Cents but like you we envy those back East that dig those KG's and such and sigh ho hum!

Nice hunt Tony! I bet the Braided Hair Large Cent rang up very high because of their thick rims. They sound like silver Halves

Yes they do give a good signal, she said it was a 12-46 on her E-Trac which is like a quarter and that is normal signal for them. She came over to me and said that is why she thought it was a Large Cent even though at that time she could see no details on it!

It's always nice to get out & hunt with family & friends. Smart move "letting" the wife get the better find. ;)
