Found this the other day. Says PDI on the inside. Is it gold/real diamonds?

hello , welcome to the forum Bob . could you post a good clear picture of the mark please?? PD could stand for palladium and pdi could stand for a maker like "precious designs inc." a jewelry wholesaler

Is there any kind of mark like "14K?"

Don't know if that is reflection or not, but it looks like tarnish or peeling gold plating next to the closest large diamond? Also an inside look at the back of the mountings can tell you a bit to. If light can pass through the back of the stones then that is good, but if the back of the stone is solid (filled in) and no light can enter, then it's probably fake diamonds. Some more pictures needed for sure. I'm leaning at 20% real / 80% fake  Help me flip them numbers ;)

Dan stumbled upon what I did. Supposedly from Precious Designs Inc in North Carolina. However they make silver rings. Still their rings can sell around $350 new. Possbily as George said it could be gold plated silver. Run it back under the coil to see what the reading is. I think ring content matters more than the plating so if it rings somewhere between a dime or a quarter then it's definitley silver. A ring and two pendants I had rang up as such. Nice ring tho.

It reads 7-24 on my explore se. Right around the penny range.
Any chance the diamonds are real?

If you already have a relationship with a jeweler you can ask them. If not, this ring would be a good starting point to creating a relationship with a local jeweler.

Whatever the outcome, that is an excellent find. Congratulations.
